Don’t use Botox: Maintain your skin naturally!

I have never had the neuro-toxin Botox injected into my face, or any other fillers for that matter. I also am not going to make a case for it, or against it (even though I am an anti-Botox individual). I am not on the anti-Botox campaign, I just don’t want to wake up one day with droopy eyes!

Last week, my highly plumped friend ask me to spill my secrets, referring to the maintenance of  my “great skin” without all the injectables that most of our friends use. Stop reading right now if you are one that wants perfection. My face moves and these beauty tips will not prevent aging, but will aid in aging gracefully. I apply many things to my face, so isolating one beauty regiment that has worked best isn’t 100%, but for today I will give you a few of my homemade natural remedies to fight signs of aging.

chemical free

I can’t say it enough, if you apply toxins to your skin, or eat poison, you will age more rapidly. Stop getting chemical peels, put down your Mountain Dew and processed food. Then have a glass of water and a home-cooked meal. If you are of the mindset that eating healthy is too much work, read my article Easy Ways to Eat Healthy.

AHP Salt Scrub

Dry skin appears dull, and weathered. Not only should you moisturize your skin, but you should smooth the surface of your skin by removing dry skin GENTLY.

  • large bowl: 1
  • mason jar: 1

  • course sea salt: 1 c
  • sweet almond oil: 3/4 c
  • orange essential oil: as needed

  1. Add the course sea salt to large mixing bowl.
  2. Then the sweet almond oil (very moisturizing).
  3. Add a few drops of orange essential oil and mix. When the mixture has a light hue and is fragrant, you’ve added enough.
  4. Store in a mason jar.
  5. You may need to mix before every use.

AHP Wrinkle Potion

I am not claiming this is a solution for everyone, or that you will suddenly become ageless, but I have been using my AHP Wrinkle Potion for 2 months. I have seen considerable line reduction, not all, but a tremendous improvement.

  • blue glass bottle with roll-on: 8ml

  • rosehip oil: 1 dropper
  • geranium oil:  10 drops
  • sweet almond oil: to fill the remainder of the 8ml bottle

  1. Add the rosehip and geranium oil directly to the bottle.
  2. Fill the remainder of the bottle with sweet almond oil.
  3. Shake to combine.
  4. Add roller to the top of the bottle and apply!

Geranium oil is strong stuff, if you have sensitive skin, you may want to add less.

Living naturally is not a quick fix. You’re not going to eat one salad and be healthier internally and externally. It look me one year to heal my melasma after pregnancy, from the time I stopped creating more damage with lasers and what not.
