Safety is imperative when working in the kitchen. If you have a small grease fire, here is a quick-tip.

How to extinguish a small grease fire!

  1. Don’t use water. Water can cause the fire to spread.
  2. Place a metal lid over a small pan fire, then turn off the heat.
  3. Pour or throw salt or baking soda over the fire to extinguish it.
  4. When in doubt, use a fire extinguisher.
