What do you do with all your child’s artwork? Do you store it? Do you hang every piece? Is it appropriate to throw all those loving gifts away? My favorite practical, and most beautiful solution to this dilemma is to have my children use stretched canvas instead of paper when painting. Their artwork always looks like a masterpiece, lovely enough to hang in any room in the house. During the holidays my eldest picks out a few pieces to give to relatives. She is always proud to be able contribute to gifting in such a substantial way.
I know this all may sound like an extravagant solution, but it’s not. Michaels frequently discounts their stretched canvas merchandise as much as 50%. Stock-up during sales and always have your supplies ready for any impromptu painting day.
